We used these as cockpit speakers on a 37-foot cruising sailboat. Lots of salty air and occasional thunderstorms did not destroy them in 3 years of use (we've since sold the boat, so don't know how long they've lasted).Really good sound for the money too (I did not freak audio, so it may miss some nuances, but they mostly sounded good)..
